Back in the fall of 2009 I had the pleasure of working with Tia and Tamera Mowry on the set of the Lifetime movie “Double Wedding”. Not only was I the on set cake consultant, but I created the “shoe cake” which is featured in the movie’s trailer and I was asked by the director to be an extra in the “cake competition” scene. Here are a few photos from the set as well as the “shoe cake”. I do have to say that it was a delight working with both Tia and Tamara. They are so nice! Novelty Cakes

Today cakes don’t have to be simply round or square. They don’t even have to look like a cake! Your special occasion cake can look like a purse, a pair of shoes, a chair and ottoman, a stack of books, a bushel of apples or a basket of summery fruit. The possibilities are endless just let your imagination go wild. We always take pride in our cakes when people walk into a room and can’t tell where the cake is when they’re staring right at it. That’s when we’ve done our job right when the bushel of apple cake doesn’t even look like a cake at all but a nice decor item in someone’s country home. This time you get to be the designer by choosing the colour, style, heel height and adornments. All shoes are handmade out of edible gumpaste and customized for your event. If you want to go even further then add in a Louis Vuitton or Gucci purse cake!
